Evernote Change Default Font

Hello! I'm wondering where I can find the setting where I can change the default font setting across *all* notes when I start the note. I want to change the default font and size so I don't have to do this every time I create a new note. How and where can I do this? Thanks!
I'm sorry to hear that I can no longer (at least as of today) change the global font in Evernote Mac (10.2.4). The new default font is terrible and the line spacing is ridiculously large. Even on short notes I need to scroll. Longer notes are ridiculous. I'm wondering why this newest version was even released when none of the app preferences are there any longer.
Thanks for posting the link to the legacy version. I've immediately uninstalled the newest version for Mac and went back to the legacy version. Bring back the option to change the font and I'll give the new version another shot.
The issue I'm having with the new Evernote is that the new 16pt default text size is too small for me to read. Only workaround is to magnify the window view which does make the fonts larger on screen, but because its magnified it also makes most of my notes run off the right side of the window and I have to scroll horizontally to see the rest of the note. (I mostly use tables to organize notes)
It is kind of disappointing that we cannot change the default font on Evernote macOS app, as of May 2021. It really kills the productivity as I do not like black headlines, some people are very perceptive and like colors, like myself, and I hope Evernote team adds this support soon to macOS app.I have just signed up to write this, and this is my first post in Evernote discussions as it really is disappointing.
Returning after an Evernote user after 5-6 years and frankly find it shocking that the new version of Evernote doesn't give users the ability to change global default font settings - I see this as a standard, baseline feature. It adds significant frustration and friction to the user experience because I'm finding myself constantly highlighting individual lines to change the format.
Also I'd like vote for this feature too - ability to set default font / font size in Evernote global settings. I have bad eyesight and it's difficult for me to use default font size and the interface scaling is not an option (I'm using 13-inch 2015 MacBook Pro and scaled interface just waste space and looks ugly to me).
This failing makes the app incredibly cumbersome to use. Every time I begin a new note I must 'select all' and change the font size to one that is large enough to be readable on my iPhone. (Even then, when I hit enter to start a new line, the app reverts back to the default tiny font.) That hassle is a game changer for me.
This has bothered me for a while and I (sort of) found a solution. In your Note, set the font how you like it and click the drop down next to "Normal Text". Select "Update 'Normal text' to match". This will make the set the default font for that page. From what I can tell, the update only applies to that page.
When I go to "preferences," the only option I am given is "Save Data at Log Out." There is no way for me to select a default note size. Also, ever since the "upgrade" (really a downgrade), all my notes have been transformed into 16-point font (they'd previously been 11- or 12-point). It seems I am now obligated to manually change the font of previously existing notes ?
Please fix this fast. I am still a great supporter of Evernote. But for this huge price I expect service. Certainly on such basics as setting a default font for all notes in Apple iPhone IOS!! Fix this.
I'm trying to change the default font (type, size...) for all new notebook. This should be a pretty core functionality but I can't find it.Moreover, I try to select the whole notebook and change it to the type of font I want but as soon as I change the line, the font goes back to the default one.The app doesn't even have a preferences menu (it only shows the option to "save data at log out). I can't even find an "update app" option.Anybody knows if this is just a (huge) bug in the new desktop app? (I'm using 10.3.7).
The combination of new-rows in tables reverting to default font (and size), with the inability to change the default font and size is problematic at best. Been a paying subscriber for years, feel like this sort of thing is making me explore alternatives.
I am facing the problem as stated by others too. The new version of Evernote doesn't have default fonts feature. My notes in older version of Evernote were in different fonts and size, now I would have to manually change them, that too with very limited options at my hand. I request everyone team to kindly look into this matter and resolve this issue as soon as possible. It would end up may users like me give up Evernote eventually, I apprehend.
i am so frustrated with this, too! Where is the UX/UI team? don't they understand the very basic thing about note taking is for a long body of text it HAS to be serif!! Have you ever read an entire book in Sans Serif?? Also, font 16 which is the default one is TOO BIG, while 14 is TOO SMALL, i need 15!! I can't believe they keep updating without compromising this smallest and basic detail.
But isn't there a way to allow that to be the default behavior, but also build in a secret power-user setting to allow people to, you know, pick their own fonts? This is a major issue for me, so much so that after years of paying for Evernote, today I downloaded some alternatives to play around with (Keep It looks like it works with my workflow)
" I would think text size is fundamental."You would think right.Evernote is a text capture tool. Not being able to change the default text size is like being forced to drive in "2" gear before you're able to switch to D.
Hello,I regularly have to change font colors when reviewing texts. In scrivener it is easy, but in other apps such as evernote, I have not figured it out.Is there an action or macro which would allow me to do so ?thank you very much for your time and help
The only caveat I found is that you also need to change the action's font settings to match those of the font being used in Evernote, as in my testing, leaving them unchanged still resulted in the font and font size being changed (for example, without setting the font to Helvetica Neue in this action, it would change Helvetica Neue fonts in Evernote to Times). However, once that's done, you can simply duplicate this macro for all the colors you need, since the colors offered by this action are the same found in Evernote.
Hi. this is great! I was trying to change the color only (not the font, font size, and bold), but even if I set these parameters to unchanged, the output will be in another font (and smaller) Do you know why? Thanks!!
Thanks Chris, I tried in evernote and gmail, however I noticed that @gglick commented earlier that you need to specify the font (and the font size) even if you do not intend to change it, so I guess I need to clone these macros and have one version for each application. Thanks for getting back to me!
In Evernote I have my default font size set to 14. No matter what my font size is set to in Sublime, when I paste into Evernote the font size is 12. I found this page via google which shed a bit of light on the situation: pygments, used by SublimeHighlight, has a default font size of 12 (do a 'find' on the page for 'fontsize' and you'll see it). The problem is I don't know python (what pygments and SublimeHighlight are written in) and have no idea how to change the font size of pasted-in text from Sublime to Evernote.
Windows 10 Mail app uses Calibri as the default font. While there is nothing wrong with the font, there are users who like other fonts and would like to use a different font instead of the default font. For instance, I like the Palatino Linotype font and set it as the default font in Word, Evernote, and other frequently used applications.
Up until now, the Mail app allowed us to change the font and font size only while composing an email. This means that the new font and font size was applicable only to the email message that you were composing. The Mail app would not remember the new font and font size once you close the compose window. You had to change the font and font size again when you open the compose window. 2b1af7f3a8
